Also, I'm confused on the rules. Am I allowed to use the sprites on scratch.mit.edu?

Oh I have already figured it out! I was just wondering if I could use the sprites on a website called scratch.mit.edu, until I realized that the website does not allow you to disable the option of other people being able to take the sprites. So I'm not gonna publish the project, and instead just work on it by myself.
